Berkeley Homes Launches The Armouries

Berkeley Homes (East Thames) Ltd turned to TxtOrder to assist with the launch of The Armouries - the next phase of the impressive Royal Arsenal development in the London Borough of Greenwich.

By texting Royalarsenal to 60030 any prospective home buyer, or investor, can receive an email about The Armouries direct to their email in-box or alternatively have a brochure mailed to them in the post.

Making the most of the mobile channel for the launch of The Armouries, TxtOrder was also commissioned to design and host a new Mobile Internet site.  Viewed by opening a simple link in the text message The Armouries Mobile Internet site provides a detailed description of the new phase of this development with images, contact details and an innovative viral marketing feature.

Developed by TxtOrder specifically for Berkeley Homes the viral marketing service uses a clever mix of SMS and WAP technology.  This enables the potential buyer to forward the details of The Armouries direct to a friend or relative.  The friend or relative’s phone number is entered and the ‘send’ button selected.  Within seconds, a standard text message is sent that contains the sender’s name and an invitation for the recipient to open a link and view The Armouries Mobile Internet site.

Berkeley Homes East Thames has taken a pioneering approach and has worked with TxtOrder since 2003 to help support its highly effective multi-channel marketing strategy.

Amber Hawkes, Marketing Manager of Berkeley Homes, East Thames said:

“With over 46 million mobile phone users in the UK, the mobile channel is becoming an increasingly important part of our marketing activity.  The launch of The Armouries included developing several outbound SMS campaigns with response mechanisms, promoting the Royalarsenal keyword across our traditional media channels and the re-design of our Mobile Internet site

“Working with TxtOrder means that our customers can respond to our traditional off-line promotions by sending a simple text message and can then choose to receive more information direct to their in-box as a rich HTML email with click-throughs’ to the Royal Arsenal website - or they can choose to receive a traditional brochure mailed out in the post.  And now, with almost all new mobile phones pre-configured to access WAP services, people can view details of The Armouries on our Mobile Internet site any time and anywhere.”

Amber continues

“It’s this sensible approach to the convergence of usable technologies with traditional communications channels that keeps our relationship with TxtOrder fresh, gives our customers real choice and keeps Berkeley Homes one step ahead.”

Dial-a-Phone turn to text for Max effect

Dial-a-Phone is turning to text at the Max Power Live exhibition in Birmingham to promote their special Pay-As-You-Go mobile phone deals on the Virgin Mobile network.

Visitors to the show will be asked to text the word "Max" and their email address to a short number.

That text will automatically trigger an email with details of Dial-a-Phone's special offers which is sent immediately to the visitor's email in-box. A simple "click through" from the email to the Dial-a-Phone secure web site is all it takes to buy the phone on-line.

Dial-A-Phone are using TxtOrder's ground-breaking mobile marketing platform to bring the campaign to life. TxtOrder is one of the leading players in the UK SMS communication industry, delivering groundbreaking SMS services.

Yvonne Foster, Dial-a-Phone's Marketing Manager said: "All our Pay-As-You-Go phones are sold on-line so TxtOrder gives us a great way to capture customer's email addresses and link an enquiry from a live event, or an off the page promotion, directly through to our web site.

“Just as important, we can track sales all the way through from the date and time of that initial text message to the on-line purchase. We can measure exactly how successful each campaign is."

Steve Almond of TxtOrder says: “Dial-a-Phone are the latest company to unleash the mighty mobile’s best loved feature — the text message — in order to get closer to its customers.”

Max Power Live is being held between the 30th June and the 2nd of July 2006, the NEC in Birmingham and will feature the best modified motors in the country.

Berkeley Homes Launch West 3

TxtOrder’s SMS service is being used as a key part of the marketing activity for the launch of Berkeley Home’s stunning new West 3 development in London.

Home buyers interested in buying one of the individually designed apartments at Acton can text W3 to 60030. They are then invited to reply with their email address or name, house number and postcode to receive full details of the West 3 Sky Lofts and 3 Bedroom Apartments. Adverts are appearing in the national press and across other media.

Once the information has been provided to the home buyer, a follow up call is made by Berkeley Homes’ Sales Advisors to answer any questions and invite the customer to view the apartments at the West 3 Sales and Marketing Suite.

TxtOrder’s simple SMS response mechanism means people can respond to a promotion that they see in the press, or hear on the radio or view on a ‘site hoarding’ or poster 24 hours a day, no matter wherever they are. They can then choose how they receive more information. It’s probably the most convenient and easiest way for anyone to respond to an advert.
