Dial-a-Phone wanted to capture customer data at the MaxPower event at Birmingham’s NEC so created a competition for visitors to their stand to win a VIP Superbike weekend.

Visitors were invited to text ‘Max’ plus their email address to 60030.

The promotion was a success. Consumers were keen to enter the competition in a quick and easy way with no form filling involved. Confirmation text messages were sent to each entrant and an automated email despatched confirming their entry and promoting Dial a-Phone’s Pay As You Go phone offers with embedded links to the Dial-a-Phone Pay as You Go web site.

Bellway Homes – City Gate, Manchester

City Gate is a new development of three stunning buildings comprising 1 and 2 bedroom apartments in Castlefield, Manchester.

Potential home buyers are invited to text City to 60030 and they then receive an immediate response text message asking for their email address or their name, house number and postcode.

Emails are despatched immediately via the TxtOrder platform with details of the development, specification, prices and links through to the City Gate web site (or a letter and brochure pack is mailed out).

Lead information is provided directly to the Bellway Homes Sales team who follow up by phone to invite the customer to view the show homes.

Pirelli

The launch by Pirellifilm of “The Call”, starring Jon Malkovich and Naomi Campbell, called for an innovative way to capture the attention of invitees as they arrived at the launch reception.

Using the TxtOrder “Reach” Bluetooth service, a 20 second trailer of the film was sent to the handsets of mobile phone users as they arrived at the film debut.
Each video delivery to the handset was tracked by the TxtOrder Reach software.

The success of the initiative has paved the way for Pirelli’s ongoing use of Bluetooth at various promotions and sponsored events in the future.

Cumbria Tourist Board

Having enjoyed success across various national newspaper campaigns, promoting tourism in Cumbria and including “Text Cumbria to 60030” as a call to action, Cumbria Tourist Board decided to supplement the mobile data they had collected with an opted-in list supplied by TxtOrder to carry out an outbound SMS campaign using the TxtOrder’s TxtSend service.

The outbound SMS campaign, promoting the Lake District as a holiday destination, invited carefully profiled recipients to reply for a 2006 Lake District Holiday Guide and entry into the Free Prize Draw.

The campaign was a success and proved that with careful selection of data and the right message ‘mobile’ provides a cost effective channel for promotion, lead generation and data collection in the tourism and leisure industry.

Westbury Homes

Westbury Homes undertook a radio advertising campaign for one of their prestige housing development in South Wales.

Using a regional radio station, the Westbury Homes advert carried the simple call to action “Text Westbury to 60030”.

In the first 10 days, the campaign generated over 100 leads by SMS. Westbury were so pleased with the results that they repeated the radio campaign in the following month. The second campaign generated a similar number of SMS responses. There is no doubt that using SMS as a response mechanism works very effectively with radio promotions.
